Welcome to Kids Club Kampala!

We help kids in Uganda survive and thrive.

Who we are

Kids Club Kampala is a children’s charity with a Christian ethos working in Uganda, East Africa.

Our mission is to support vulnerable kids in the slums of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, by providing for both their immediate needs and strengthening their futures through community outreach, protecting, educating and skilling.

Our vision is to see children’s lives transformed, communities empowered and poverty reduced throughout Kampala’s slums.

Vision 30 (6).png
A generous supporter of Kids Club Kampala has offered to match up to 10 school places for children in 2024. Here is their proposal broken down:

If we increase the amount of children who are sponsored by 10%, they will sponsor 10 more out of school children to attend school.

With this target in mind, we need to increase the amount of children sponsored by 17.

So far 14 children have been sponsored, meaning we need just 3 more out of school children to be sponsored this year to reach our target.

The Kids Club Kampala Way

Why we’re different

At Kids Club Kampala, we believe that every child is unique, special and deserves to have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our work is based on a holistic approach, where we focus on meeting the immediate needs of children and families in the slums while empowering them to bring about long-term, sustainable changes in their lives. Our approach encompasses four core project areas: feeding, protecting, educating, and skilling.

These four areas are not siloed; they work together holistically to create a supportive environment for vulnerable children and their families. We firmly believe in a holistic approach, ensuring that children and families have their basic needs met (food, safety) so they can fully engage with and benefit from education and skills development. This approach helps them move from merely surviving to truly thriving, as stated in our theory of change.
